The Storyline:
A 21 year old, Justy Ueki Tylor, finds himself looking for a purpose in life....while he is drunk. He signs up for the military, and is given a low rank.
However, he gets a bit of sheer dumb luck and saves the life of Admiral Hanner, and thus is promoted to a captain of his own ship, the soyokaze (gently drifting breeze).
On his ship, he gets wrapped up in a war with opposing armies, and wars upon his own ship.
Characters:
Just Ueki Tylor: 21 year old happy-go-lucky captain of the soyokaze. Incredibly lucky, and not very popular.
Yamamoto: The responsible and uptight Lieutenant of the soyokaze, who sees it as his mission to get Tylor demoted.
Yuriko Star: Also a very responsible Lieutenant, but she doesn't take as much of a disliking to tylor as Yamamoto, and eventually she is even friendly to him.
Kyung-Hwa Kim: The 1st Lieutenant, under Yamamoto and Yuriko. She is very flirtatious, especially towards Tylor and Katori.
Harold Katori: The other 1st Lieutenant, he acts as the navigator and chief bishounen of the soyokaze.
Kojiro Sakai: 2nd Lieutenant. He is a ruthless and brash pilot who hates women, but of course has twin fangirls.
Emi and Yumi: Pilots in training, Kojiro's fangirls, grand-daughters to admiral hanner. They get on your nerves, but all they really want to do is help!
M. Cryburn and K. B. Andressen: Muscle-headed leaders of the marines. They are dedicated to their ship, but act like an all male hockey team in that they make a mess of it.
And there are hints of yaoi-ness there ^_~
Dr. Hidezaburo Kitaguchi: The ever-so-responsible alcoholic doctor of the soyokaze. Main painkiller: sake.
Fuji and Mifune: Vice Admiral and Lieutenant Vice Admiral of the UPSF. They know that Tylor's success is sheer dumb luck, and are trying to displace him throughout the series.
Roberto J. Hanner: Head geezer and symbol of purity in ICT. He's the retired admiral of the UPSF.
Harumi: The gorgeous nurse of the Soyokaze, who seems to have a thing for Tylor. Maybe there's more to her than meets the eye?
Azalyn: The young and inexperienced empress of the nation of Raalgon, who is really sweet and tender and is being pulled into the monstrosity of war.
Wang: EVIL CONSPIRER AGAINST AZALYN!! EVIL!
Ru Baraba Dom: A Captain of a Raalgon cruiser, who loves Azalyn, and sees himself as Tylor's rival.
Shia Has: Cruel but gorgeous, rose with a whip. She'll kick your ass!
